Dunkwa-on-offin: Farmers in the oil-palm, coconut, and kola-nut sectors have been encouraged to form groups to access credit facilities provided by the government and financial institutions. This advice was given by Mr. Kwabena Poku, the national organiser of the Ghana Oil-palm, Coconut and Kola-nut Farmers' Association, during a meeting with farmers in the Upper Denkyira District at Dunkwa-on-Offin. The purpose of the meeting was to inform farmers about the importance of diversifying their cash crop production and the opportunities available for securing loans from government and financial bodies. Topics covered during the meeting included marketing avenues and pricing policies for agricultural products.
