Winneba: The Effutu Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has extended heartfelt condolences to the Zongo community in Winneba following the passing of their chief, Sarki Suleimana Salaga IV.
According to Ghana Web, in a statement dated April 19, 2026, and signed by the Effutu NPP Chairman, Joseph Nicholas Bondzie, the party described the late chief as a father, guide, and valued stakeholder whose reign was marked by a strong commitment to peace, unity, and harmony within the municipality.
The NPP also noted that it was duly represented at the burial ceremony, which was attended by the Deputy National Chief Imam and other dignitaries. As part of its solidarity efforts, the party made an initial donation ahead of the final funeral rites scheduled for June this year.
'To us in the New Patriotic Party, we have lost not only a traditional leader but also a father, a guide, and a valued stakeholder in the development of our community,' the statement read.
