Early Power Limited Enhances Healthcare at Bediako CHPS Compound with Medical Supply Donation


Accra: Early Power Limited, an independent power producer operating within the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality, has donated assorted medical supplies and consumables to the Bediako Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound in the Nmlitsakpo Electoral Area.



According to Ghana News Agency, this donation forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibility aimed at improving healthcare delivery and promoting community well-being within its operational area.



The donation includes a range of essential medical items such as a suction machine, oxygen cylinders, delivery beds, admission beds, an autoclave, and cotton wool, among other consumables. Mr. Kofi Amoako Asiedu, the Commercial Manager of Early Power Limited, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting communities in various ways to enhance social and health development. He noted that these medical supplies would significantly strengthen the Bediako CHPS facility’s ability to deliver quality healthcare services to residents of Bediako and surrounding areas.



‘The facility provides essential healthcare services to over 9,000 people, and these medical items will help improve maternal health, enhance child delivery, and reduce complications during emergency situations,’ Mr. Asiedu stated. Dr. Esther Priscilla Biamah Danquah, the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Director of Health Services, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Early Power Limited for the gesture, acknowledging that healthcare delivery remains a shared responsibility. She assured that the items would be used effectively to improve health outcomes within the community.



Mr. Samuel Tetteh Kwashie Morton, the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), commended the company for its continuous support toward healthcare development in the area. He disclosed that the municipal assembly is working closely with the health directorate to operationalize the newly constructed Bediako CHPS Compound to expand access to quality healthcare delivery. Mr. Morton reaffirmed the assembly’s commitment to supporting the health sector and other social interventions that would enhance the living conditions of residents within the municipality.
