Contestant pleads with delegates for votes

Akim Ofoase (E/R)� Dr Tom Kenneth Budu, a contestant for the Eastern Regional Organiser position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has appealed to delegates to vote for him to enable him mobilise massive support for the party come 2020 Election.

He said he had established strong cordial and healthy relations with the people and by getting the nod as the Regional Organiser the NDC, would gain a lot in amassing votes in the 2020 presidential and the parliamentary elections in the area.

Dr Tom Budu, the former Akyemansa District Executive made the appeal in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Akim Ofoase in the Eastern Region on Tuesday.

He said he had been a Zonal Chairman for the party for four years, assembly member for 12 years, and a resource person for the World Vision International in the Eastern Region for six years by which the people have the confidence and the trust in him.

He said: My relationship with the electorate in the area is my trump card to pull voters for the NDC in the coming 2020 election and if am given the nod to become the regional organiser of the party.

Dr Tom Budu mentioned African Indigenous Achievers Awards as one of the awards he received in 2013, which was organised by Almond Institute.

Madam Lilly Braine, a trader also in an interview with the GNA, described Dr Tom Budu as dedicated, loyal, sincere and hardworking person during his tenure of office as the District Chief Executive, adding that, he is an advocate for good governance in functional democracy.
