Accra: Staff of the Complementary Education Agency (CEA) across the country are celebrating the approval of their migration and staff placement by the Ministry of Finance.
According to Ghana Web, the approval was announced at a gathering at the Agency's headquarters in Accra, attended by the Executive Director, Daniel Kwesi Ashiamah, along with Regional Directors, District Directors, and staff. Kwesi Ashiamah conveyed that a management letter issued by the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission to the Ministry of Finance had received approval.
He explained that the initiative began with nationwide tours where staff shared grievances about years of stagnation, with some spending up to 15 years without salary adjustments or movement on the salary structure. "Today, as we speak, the Ministry of Finance has approved the migration and staff levels of the Complementary Education Agency," Kwesi Ashiamah announced.
He further assured that all staff, from the watchman in Wa to the cleaner in Bolga, would be included in the migration process. The new salary structure is expected to be implemented by the end of August 2026, with an effective date of July 1, 2026, and one month of arrears for July 2026 to be compensated.
Kwesi Ashiamah commended the staff for their patience and dedication, promising continued efforts to improve the Agency's environment. The announcement was warmly received, with staff expressing that the decision was long overdue and significantly uplifting for morale.
