Accra: The Eastern Regional President of the Association of Priests, Okomfo Akosua Dedeaa, has cautioned the public against engaging in sexual activities in open spaces during this year's Kwahu Easter celebrations. During a visit to her residence in the Kwahu area, the priestess highlighted concerns over what she identified as a growing trend of indecent behaviour during festive periods.
According to Ghana Web, Okomfo Akosua Dedeaa stressed that public places such as markets, schools, bars, and street corners should not be used for immoral conduct, especially as large crowds are expected for the annual celebrations. She noted that such behaviour not only undermines cultural and moral values but could also lead to spiritual repercussions if it continues unchecked.
Okomfo Akosua Dedeaa urged revellers to exercise discipline, respect public spaces, and celebrate responsibly to ensure a peaceful and successful festival. She also called upon community leaders and security agencies to remain vigilant and collaborate to maintain order during the festivities.
