Albony Foundation, a leading advocate for advancements and excellence in the healthcare and wellness sector has proudly announced the nominees for the inaugural Ghana Wellness and Healthcare Awards.

This award program is designed to honor the remarkable individuals and organizations whose unwavering commitment and innovative efforts have profoundly impacted the wellness and health sectors.

The Albony Foundation has established this award as a recognition of the exceptional work of wellness and healthcare professionals, especially highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic, which underscored the invaluable role these individuals and institutions play.

The foundation also envisions that these awards will enhance the positioning of Ghana’s wellness and healthcare institutions, serving as a catalyst to attract investment and support for the sector.

The nomination process was stringent and comprehensive, with a distinguished panel of experts evaluating global submissions based on criteria like innovation, leadershi
p, patient care, research, and community service.

From over 2,700 nominations, the nominees for the main ceremony have been selected with strict adherence to the highest standards of morality and ethics.

These nominees encompass a wide range of wellness and healthcare professionals, researchers, institutions, and initiatives that have shown extraordinary dedication and have contributed significantly to the advancement of health and well-being in Ghana and beyond.

On June 14, 2024, more than 1,000 professionals, corporate entities, and individuals from the wellness and healthcare community will gather to honor and celebrate the award winners at the landmark Ghana Wellness and Healthcare Awards 2024. The theme for this year’s event is “Ghana Beyond Aid: The Role of the Wellness and Health Care Sector,” and it will be hosted at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel.

Mrs. Sara Nana Yeboah, the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, informed us that the team processed 2,767 applications nationwide, conducting extens
ive background checks to determine the top three awardees in each category. The diligence of the research team in this process is commendable.

Dr. Anthony Nsiah Asare, among other esteemed veterans, has been nominated to receive a prestigious accolade in recognition of his four decades of outstanding service to the Wellness and Healthcare Sector.
