BOST Energies Bids Farewell to Deputy Managing Director Amid Leadership Transition

Accra: BOST Energies Limited Company (BOSTenergies), a key entity in Ghana's energy sector, organized a send-off ceremony for its outgoing Deputy Managing Director, Ms. Adwoa Serwaa Bondzie, while welcoming her successor, Mr. Salifu Nat Acheampong, on Monday.

According to Ghana News Agency, the event was prompted by Ms. Bondzie's appointment as the new Executive Secretary of the Ghana Energy Commission by President John Dramani Mahama. Her successor, Mr. Salifu Nat Acheampong, has been a long-term staff member of BOSTenergies. The ceremony saw the participation of the company's management and staff, who gathered to extend their best wishes to Ms. Bondzie in her new capacity at the Energy Commission of Ghana.

During her tenure, Ms. Bondzie played a crucial role in BOSTenergies, contributing to the company's growth and accomplishments. The Managing Director of BOSTenergies, Mr. Afetsi Awoonor, acknowledged her efforts in promoting an organizational culture based on discipline, excellence, welfare, and teamwork. He described her departure as both a loss for BOSTenergies and a gain for the power sector she is poised to lead.

In her farewell address, Ms. Bondzie expressed her appreciation to the management and staff of BOSTenergies for their support, reaffirming her commitment to the company's continued success in the energy sector. She referred to BOSTenergies as her home.

The newly appointed DMD, Mr. Salifu Nat Acheampong, expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for his appointment and pledged his dedication and support to the Managing Director. He vowed to collaborate with the team to advance the company's vision.

Mr. Acheampong's career includes serving as Manager of Corporate Communications and External Affairs at BOSTenergies since February 2013, where he led strategic communications and stakeholder engagement. He previously held the position of Executive Technical Liaison, advising the Managing Director. His educational background includes a Master of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester, a post-graduate diploma in Diplomacy from the University of Nottingham, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Nottingham Trent University, and an Executive Graduate Certificate in Managing Energy Transition from the University of Texas.
