Bono Regional Minister Visits The People Of Nkrankwanta After Heavy Downpour

Earlie yesterday, March 4, 2022, The Bono regional Minister, Hon Justina Owusu Banahene, together with the Bono regional acting Directress of education, Hon Justina Awo Banahene and Mrs Ivy Owusu Asantewa respectively joined the DCE for Dormaa West District, Hon. Francis Kwadwo Oppong, the District NADMO officials and the Dormaa West District Education Director to visit some affected places in Nkrankwanta during the Thursday’s heavy downpour.

It may be recalled that on Thursday, March 3, 2022, a heavy downpour visited Nkrankwanta township causing roofs rip-off at Nkrankwanta Senior High School, Nkrankwanta D/A JHS and individual houses in the township. The incident caused about 25 students being fainted and a female teacher who were rushed to the Dormaa west District

The Nkrankwanta Senior High Ministress, Mrs Justina solidarized with the students and the staff and assured them that, the government will swift intervention in ensuring the reroof of the affected classroom blocks for effective teaching and learning in the school.

The Bono Regional Minister, Hon Justina Owusu Banahene together with the Dormaa West DCE, Hon kwadwo Oppong and the education director, Madam Justina Awo Banahene pay a courtesy call to the Nkrankwanta District hospital where the students injured have been admitted.

They also visited the Nkrankwanta D/A JHS and encouraged the students not to be scared by the incident but to take their education serious as government was ready to renovate and provide the school adequate equipments.

The team also visited some after individual houses to see how the residents were faring. The residents requested that government come to their aid as life was unbearable.

They then, visited Osikani fm 99.7 mhz in Nkrankwanta where the station’s mast had been destroyed by the rainstorm and they assured the management of that, government will make provision for new mast.
