Bono Regional Minister Urges Media to Highlight Economic Opportunities to Attract Investments

Sunyani: Mr Joseph Addae Akwaboa, the Bono Regional Minister, has called on the media to focus on projecting the economic prospects of the region as a strategy to attract investments. He emphasized the importance of concentrating on positive and impactful stories that contribute meaningfully to the government’s reset agenda.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Akwaboa acknowledged the media’s role in holding the government accountable but urged that criticisms be constructive and aimed at providing solutions to national challenges. He affirmed the Regional Coordinating Council’s commitment to building and strengthening its relationship with the media, recognizing their integral role in achieving the government’s reset agenda of building a better Ghana for all.

The Regional Minister underscored the region’s focus on development above all else, assuring that efforts would be made to ensure that their work is justified in the 2028 General Election. Echoing the Minister’s sentiments, Mr Dickson Kyere Duah, the Member of Parliament for Berekum West, described Mr Akwaboa as a media-friendly personality. He also urged the media to support the Minister’s efforts to attract investors, while maintaining constructive criticism to harness the region’s economic prospects for growth and development.
