Accra:Mama Fiawotoe I, sister of the late actress Beverly Afaglo, shared that Beverly passed away about six weeks after doctors gave her a two-month prognosis following a cancer diagnosis.
According to Ghana Web, Beverly was advised by doctors to spend the remaining time with her children and settle personal affairs. However, she succumbed to the illness after approximately a month and a half.
Beverly's diagnosis came after she noticed a lump under her arm and sought medical attention. Initial treatments included medication and radiation therapy, but the cancer, identified as triple-negative breast cancer, rapidly progressed. Despite undergoing surgery, new tumors appeared, and the condition worsened, leading the family to seek further treatment in the United States.
Despite the dire prognosis, Beverly maintained hope and refused to accept the inevitability of her condition. Her sister recalls Beverly's determination to fight the illness, even as doctors indicated the cancer was spreading to her spine and other areas.
Beverly Afaglo passed away in May 2026 at the age of 42, leaving behind a legacy of resilience in the face of adversity.
