Sanaa:Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy has expressed doubt about Kenya's chances of winning the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
According to Ghana Web, McCarthy remarked that Kenya lacks the necessary resources and squad strength to compete with Africa's top football nations. He stated that even with substantial financial incentives, Kenya would struggle against teams like Morocco, Egypt, Côte d'Ivoire, and Senegal.
McCarthy also highlighted Guinea as one of the strong teams capable of competing at the continental level. Despite acknowledging the challenge, he did not completely rule out the possibility of Kenya winning AFCON, though he emphasized the difficulty of such an achievement.
