Asante Gold Bibiani Ltd and PW Mining Renovate Mortuary at Bibiani Municipal Hospital

Bibiani: Asante Gold Bibiani Limited and PW Mining International have officially handed over a newly renovated mortuary facility to the Bibiani Municipal Hospital.

According to Ghana News Agency, the renovation was a part of the companies’ Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, aimed at upgrading healthcare infrastructure within the local community. The refurbished facility now includes a modern mortuary building, state-of-the-art refrigeration systems, and enhanced sanitation and safety standards.

During the handing over ceremony at the hospital, Mr. Samuel Kwesi Takyi, General Manager of Asante Gold Bibiani Limited, remarked that the initiative underscores the company’s commitment to improving community well-being. Mr. Paul Convery, Project Manager at PW Mining International, reiterated the company’s dedication to supporting sustainable development initiatives in Bibiani.

Mr. Emmanuel Aidoo, Sustainability Manager at Asante Gold Bibiani Limited, noted that the project is designed to ensure dignity and efficiency in the hospital’s healthcare service delivery. Nana Anaafi Ababio II, Krontihene of Bibiani, representing the Paramount Chief of Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, praised the organizations for their commitment to the welfare of Bibiani residents.

Dr. Akwasi Adu-Gyamfi, Medical Superintendent of Bibiani Government Hospital, expressed gratitude towards the mining companies for their contribution and urged local residents to support the hospital. He assured that the hospital would maintain a strong culture of maintenance to ensure the facility’s durability.

The renovated mortuary facility is anticipated to significantly boost the hospital’s capacity for managing and preserving bodies effectively, while adhering to high hygienic standards.
