Akrofuom NCCE Hosts Parliamentary Candidates’ Dialogue, NDC Candidate Present, Incumbent Absent.

AKROFUOM: The Akrofuom District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) recently organized a dialogue session for candidates vying for the parliamentary seat in the constituency, in collaboration with the Local Council of Churches. The dialogue aimed to offer candidates a platform to present their developmental visions to the community. Notably, only the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Mr. Joseph Azuma, attended the event.

According to Ghana News Agency, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Mr. Alex Blankson, did not attend the meeting despite receiving an invitation well in advance. During his engagement with attendees, Mr. Azuma detailed his strategies for working with key stakeholders to expedite the constituency’s development. He highlighted his dedication to launching initiatives that would enhance the local economy and create job opportunities for the unemployed youth in the region.

Mr. Azuma expressed the necessity for constituents to elect a leader who pri
oritizes inclusive governance, with the community’s welfare at the core of developmental efforts. Additionally, he promised to maintain peace and encouraged his supporters to uphold peace throughout the election process.

Apostle Michael Adjei Adjetey, Chairman of the Local Council of Churches, stressed the significance of peaceful coexistence and urged Ghanaians to prioritize peace in the upcoming elections. He remarked that a peaceful election would be a victory for all of Ghana, ensuring that no lives are lost.

Mr. Ali Kassim, the District Director of NCCE, advised voters to remain disciplined and avoid electoral violence as the campaign period reaches its final stages.
