Accra:The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has declared that an attack on any Ghanaian globally is considered an attack on the entire nation. His statement comes as the government commits to seeking justice for Javits Frimpong, a 15-year-old Ghanaian who was shot and killed in the United States.
According to Ghana Web, Ablakwa emphasized the government's dedication to the case in a Facebook post dated November 3, 2026. He revealed that communication with US authorities regarding the investigation into Javits Frimpong's death is ongoing.
In addition, Ablakwa announced that Javits' mother, Doris Adu Gyamfi, and his cousin have obtained US visas and are anticipated to travel to the United States shortly. He acknowledged the US Embassy in Accra for the expedited visa processing, which was facilitated by interventions from US President Donald Trump and New York City Mayor Kwame Mamdani.
The minister affirmed the government's commitment to ensuring justice is achieved, stating that efforts will continue until the investigation concludes satisfactorily. He extended his condolences to the family, expressing that no parent should endure the loss of a child in such tragic circumstances.
