Kumasi:The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) Limited has recognized 10 Special Load Tariff (SLT) customers in the Ashanti West Region for their loyalty, prompt bill payments, and continuous patronage of the company's services.
According to Ghana News Agency, the awards were presented to appreciate these customers' commitment to ECG and their ongoing support of the company's operations. The awardees included Asawus Company Limited, China Mall-Kumasi, Guinness Ghana Limited, Lancaster Kumasi City Hotel, and Kasapreko Company Limited. Additional recipients were Kumasi Cement Ghana Limited, Niwota Company, Twellium Ghana Company Limited, World Cool Stone Quarry, and XY Plywood Ghana.
Each awardee received a plaque and ECG-branded souvenirs in recognition of their contributions and longstanding relationship with the company. The awards presentation was part of activities organized by ECG from October 26 to October 30, 2026, to celebrate Customer Service Week, under the theme 'The Extra Mile.'
Management of ECG visited all 10 awardees to present the awards and engage with them to better understand their operational activities and challenges. Mr. George Amoah, General Manager of ECG's Ashanti West Region, commended the awardees for their commitment and support, emphasizing the importance of stable and reliable power supply for socio-economic development and improving the standard of living.
Mr. Amoah stated that ECG is undertaking various system improvement projects across the region to stabilize power and increase capacity to attract more investors. He highlighted that the theme 'The Extra Mile' reflects ECG's dedication to professionalism and excellent service delivery. He also encouraged customers to reach out to ECG officials for any challenges and advised them to engage only with authorized ECG staff to avoid fraud.
