Dingolfing:A 43-year-old man was shot dead by an unknown assailant as he opened his front door in Dingolfing, located in the southern German state of Bavaria, according to a police report on Monday.
According to Ghana News Agency, the perpetrator fled the scene in a black car with tinted windows, prompting police to immediately launch a search for the suspect. Initial findings suggest that the gunman rang the doorbell of the couple's residence, and when the man answered, the assailant fired at least one shot.
The victim sustained serious injuries and died at the scene despite resuscitation efforts. Police have stated that investigators are currently collecting and securing forensic evidence and plan to question potential witnesses.
