Prophet Claims Inaki Williams Made Mistake Playing for Ghana

Accra:Popular Ghanaian Prophet Telvin Sowah Adjei has claimed that Inaki Williams was not destined to play for the Black Stars, attributing his underwhelming performances for the national team to his decision to represent Ghana.

According to Ghana Web, the prophet stated that the winger was meant to play for Spain's La Roja and would have excelled for the European nation, making history on the international stage.

The prophet indicated that the Athletic Bilbao attacker made a mistake by switching his international allegiance to Ghana, claiming the decision had cost him. He expressed that Williams was supposed to play for Spain and would have been one of the top scorers, but by choosing Ghana, he redirected his destiny inappropriately.

Prophet Telvin added that the decision contributed to Williams' underwhelming performances for the Black Stars and commended his decision to retire from international football. He noted that the atmosphere in the Ghanaian team did not suit Williams' abilities, resulting in his disappointing showing.

Williams, who switched his allegiance from Spain to Ghana in 2022, managed to score just two goals in 28 appearances for the Black Stars. Despite his impressive club form with Athletic Bilbao, he could not replicate the same success on the international stage. Williams made his debut for Ghana in June 2022 and was part of the squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d'Ivoire.
