Dr. Bawumia Criticizes NDC’s 24-Hour Economy Policy

Sunyani:Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has criticized the National Democratic Congress (NDC)'s 24-hour economy policy as mere campaign propaganda intended to mislead the public.

According to Ghana Web, Dr. Bawumia expressed these views at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Thanksgiving Service. He highlighted that nearly two years into the current administration's term, the promised policy has not been implemented, suggesting a lack of understanding by the government itself.

Dr. Bawumia questioned how the NDC could explain the policy to the public when they allegedly do not comprehend it themselves. He also pointed out unfulfilled promises such as the completion of Agenda 111 hospitals and other commitments.

Looking ahead to 2028, Dr. Bawumia emphasized that the NPP intends to present practical and costed ideas to the electorate, avoiding promises that cannot be fulfilled. He remarked on the disparity between economic statistics and the real-life economic challenges faced by Ghanaians, stating that stability must translate into improved living conditions.
