Abu Dhabi:A book detailing Ghana's advancements in cybersecurity has gained international attention after being featured at the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
According to Ghana Web, the book, titled "The Republic A Professional Journey, Ghana's Cybersecurity and the Making of a Role Model Country," was penned by Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako, the former Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority (CSA). It was one of the select publications exhibited during the event, which took place from September 26 to October 1, 2026, attracting over 5,000 participants from approximately 97 countries.
The selection of the book for exhibition followed a recommendation by members of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) community. José Antonio Zabalgoitia, Chair of the 34th Session of the CCPCJ, praised the book for highlighting the values and resilience of individuals contributing to just and peaceful societies.
Displayed alongside other notable publications, the book offered delegates insight into Ghana's cybersecurity development and the key policies and initiatives shaping its digital security landscape. Beyond the Congress, a copy of the book will be preserved in a library in Abu Dhabi as part of the CCPCJ's historical collections, ensuring its enduring presence.
Published in November 2025, the book offers a personal account of Dr. Antwi-Boasiako's professional journey in Ghana's cybersecurity sector. He expressed surprise and gratitude for the recognition, attributing the success to the collective efforts of those involved in the country's cybersecurity development.
The exhibition coincided with October's Cybersecurity Awareness Month, further underscoring the publication's significance in highlighting Ghana's efforts to enhance its national cybersecurity capabilities.
