Eight Nigerians Arrested for Alleged Cyber Fraud in Sunyani

Sunyani:Eight Nigerian nationals have been taken into custody on suspicion of participating in cyber fraud activities. This follows a police operation targeting a residence in Kotokrom, located in the Sunyani East Municipality.

According to Ghana Web, the Bono Regional Police Command executed a raid on the self-contained property, which is believed to have served as the group's operational base. During the search, officers confiscated multiple electronic devices, including 19 mobile phones, tablets, laptops, internet receivers, and a high-speed router, all allegedly used in the suspects' online activities.

The raid was the result of intelligence gathered by local security agencies, leading police to the residence and subsequently disrupting what is thought to be a structured cyber fraud operation. Authorities aim to uncover the full extent of the alleged operation and identify any additional individuals who may be involved.
