Bechem: Mr Emmanuel Kwame Frimpong, Tano South Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has announced that the government is in the final stages of setting up a Nursing and Midwifery Training College in Techimantia. The announcement was made during the Second Ordinary Meeting of the Municipal Assembly held at Bechem, the municipal capital. Mr. Frimpong acknowledged the local chiefs for providing land for the college and assured that construction would begin soon. He emphasized that the college would enable more students to pursue health-related courses, addressing the growing health needs in the municipality. According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Charles Asiedu, the Member of Parliament for the Tano South Constituency, expressed his commitment to the municipality's development. He stated that meeting the emerging needs of his constituents is a priority and urged community support to realize his vision for the area. Mr Kwaku Asomah, Assembly Member for the Techimantia Sisirease Electoral Area, praised the Assembly's ef forts in facilitating the college's establishment. He promised the community's support and cooperation to ensure the project's success. Mr Oga Kwashiga, an opinion leader in Techimantia, urged residents to avoid politicizing the college's establishment. He highlighted that the college would offer educational opportunities for all students, irrespective of political affiliations.
