NDC Opens Nominations for Constituency Executives’ Elections Nationwide

Kadjebi: The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially opened nominations for its Constituency Executives' Elections across the country. Prospective candidates are expected to submit their nominations between September 15 and 17, 2026.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Eric Adjei, the NDC Deputy Director of Elections for the Akan Constituency, provided details about the nomination process during an interview in Kadjebi, located in the Oti Region. Nomination forms are available online for a fee of GHS200.00, with filing fees varying depending on the position being contested.

Mr. Adjei detailed that aspirants for the position of Constituency Chairman are required to pay a filing fee of GHS5,000.00. Those aspiring for the roles of Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Organiser will each pay GHS3,000, while the fee for the Communication Officer position is set at GHS2,500.00.

He further explained that the Treasurer, Zongo Caucus Coordinator, Youth Organiser, and Women's Organiser positions come with a filing fee of GHS1,500 each. Candidates for Deputy positions such as Deputy Secretary, Deputy Treasurer, Deputy Communication Officer, Deputy Youth Organiser, Deputy Women's Organiser, and other youth representative roles will need to pay GHS1,000 each. Additionally, the filing fee for the eight other executive member positions is GHS500 each.

Mr. Adjei noted that female candidates and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are required to pay only 50 percent of the prescribed filing fees for all positions. This measure is part of the party's initiatives to encourage broader participation in the electoral process.

He urged all prospective aspirants to make use of the nomination period and ensure they complete the necessary processes within the given timeframe. Mr. Adjei extended his best wishes to all aspirants, encouraging them to conduct their campaigns in a way that enhances the unity and cohesion of the party.
