Accra: A Ghanaian jersey vendor has left social media users in stitches after announcing massive price reductions on Black Stars jerseys following Ghana's elimination from the FIFA World Cup.
According to Ghana Web, in a viral video circulating online, the vendor displayed different Ghana jerseys in various designs and sizes while informing customers that the prices had been drastically reduced in a bid to clear the remaining stock. Holding up the jerseys one after another, he announced that the merchandise now sells for as little as GHS3, with other jerseys priced at GHS5, GHS6, and GHS15.
'We've reduced the prices of the Ghana jerseys. They now sell for GHS15, GHS6, GHS5, and GHS3,' the vendor said in the video. The vendor explained that the business has been running at a loss since the Black Stars crashed out of the FIFA World Cup, as supporters have stopped buying the national team jerseys.
