Accra: Prophet Nigel Gaisie has gone hard on his critics, following criticism over recent football-related prophecies that did not materialise. His comments come after some social media users questioned his prediction that South Africa would be eliminated during the group stage of the ongoing FIFA World Cup. Other Ghanaian prophets who made similar predictions have also faced criticism online.
According to Ghana Web, Nigel Gaisie said people who have never personally experienced prophetic ministry may not fully understand its role. In a social media post, he remarked that individuals who have not encountered a prophet or prophetic experiences may dismiss such matters as 'NKWASIASEM'. He urged people to meet true prophets to appreciate the role and impact of prophetic ministry, asserting that God continues to communicate through prophets.
Addressing fellow prophets, Gaisie acknowledged that the prophetic ministry often attracts criticism and encouraged them to remain focused. He advised prophets to be guided by the Holy Spirit and not be intimidated by criticism, emphasizing the importance of revealing Jesus and conveying His message.
Nigel Gaisie also noted that prophetic messages are not intended for everyone. He explained that not everyone is called to understand spiritual works and protocols, and that those meant to receive prophetic messages will heed them. He expressed concern that Ghana does not always appreciate its prophets and often mislabels non-prophets as prophets. Gaisie concluded by encouraging people to allow prophets to fulfill their roles without interference.
