NSA Hosts Italian Serie A Side Como on Historic Ghana Tour

Accra: Officials of Italian Serie A club Como 1907 have arrived in Ghana for a week-long football tour aimed at strengthening sporting and cultural ties between the two countries. The delegation's first stop on Thursday was the Accra Sports Stadium, where they were received by the Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA). According to Ghana Web, as part of their itinerary, the Como delegation is expected to pay a courtesy call on the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG), where they will meet PFAG founder and former Black Stars defender Anthony Baffoe. The Italian visitors will also participate in activities surrounding the opening of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, serving as special guests of the National Sports Authority, Ghana Tourism, and the Tribe Festival during the tournament's opening ceremony and kickoff events. The visit is expected to foster football development opportunities and deepen relationships between Ghanaian and Italian football stakeholders.
