Toronto: The Ghana High Commission in Canada has announced that it has been directed by Ghana's Ministry of Sports and Recreation to compile details of Ghanaians interested in attending the Black Stars' FIFA World Cup match against Panama in Toronto.
According to Ghana Web, the High Commission issued a public notice on June 8, 2026, stating that the Ministry had directed them to collect data, specifically email addresses, of Ghanaians in Canada who wish to attend the match but do not have tickets. The game is scheduled to be played on June 17, 2026, in Toronto.
The notice, signed by Ghana's High Commissioner to Canada, Prof Dora Francis Edu-Buandoh, urged interested Ghanaians to submit their details for consideration. "In this regard, interested compatriots in Canada should share the following details through [email protected] by 10th June, 2026 for the information and further action by Ghana's Ministry of Sports and Recreation," the statement said.
Applicants are required to provide their full names and email addresses before the deadline. The initiative aims to assist members of the Ghanaian community in Canada who have been unable to secure tickets for the Black Stars' crucial group-stage encounter against Panama at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The High Commission expressed appreciation for the cooperation of Ghanaians in Canada, concluding the notice with the message: "Thank you for your cooperation."
