Shatta Wale Predicts Ghana’s Music Industry Will Reach Global Prominence in Next Decade

Accra: In the next decade, Dancehall musician Shatta Wale believes Ghana's entertainment industry, particularly music, will rank among the top industries in the world, as he continues to push that agenda. The Shatta Movement boss told media personality Bola Ray that the industry just needs a little more communication and understanding, adding that he feels the orientation towards the business has not really been there.

According to Ghana Web, Shatta Wale expressed confidence that with a collective mindset and attitude, Ghana's music scene could become a leading force globally. He emphasized the importance of communication and understanding in achieving this goal.

Discussing support from industry stakeholders, the 'Melissa' hitmaker explained that music lovers, especially fans, are contributing positively. He noted that political figures also enjoy music but argued that musicians' approach towards these figures would encourage their support for the industry.

Shatta Wale further mentioned having conversations with influential individuals, feeling optimistic that they will gradually understand the potential of the industry. He expressed a willingness to make sacrifices to benefit future generations.

Looking ahead to his Shatta Fest concert in London on August 1, 2026, the Dancehall artiste urged fans to anticipate a celebration. He conveyed his desire to spread positivity and share his talents, highlighting his commitment to his covenant with God to showcase his artistic gifts.
