NDC Polls: Cynthia Amoateng Vies for Deputy Treasurer in Ellembelle

Ellembelle: Cynthia Amoateng has officially declared her intention to contest for the position of Deputy Treasurer in the upcoming Ellembelle Constituency Executives Elections of the National Democratic Congress, scheduled for October 2026. Amoateng, currently an Executive Member of the Ellembelle NDC in the Western Region, hails from Nzema Aiyinasi and works as a businesswoman.

According to Ghana Web, in her announcement, she pledged to support the Constituency Treasurer in strengthening the party's financial base at the branch level. She highlighted her track record of engaging stakeholders and mobilising resources for party activities across Ellembelle. Supporters point to several qualities they believe make her suited for the role, including her ability to connect with branch executives, youth, and women's groups throughout the constituency.

Amoateng is credited with a proven ability to engage stakeholders and assist in raising resources to support branch-level activities. Her supporters note her reputation for transparency and accountability in handling both party and community contributions. Amoateng is said to consistently prioritise the interests of the party and grassroots members in her engagements.

She is reportedly respected across party lines in Ellembelle for her calm and respectful approach to political discourse. Amoateng is described as understanding the challenges faced at the branch level and being committed to ensuring that resources reach the base. Ahead of the October elections, her campaign is calling on potential branch executives to consider her candidacy.

Speaking to Daniel Kaku at Aiyinasi on Monday, May 18, 2026, Cynthia Amoateng called on her supporters to avoid the politics of personal attacks and to focus only on championing her message. She also urged Ghanaians to continue rallying behind President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC government to ensure its success.

The Ellembelle NDC Constituency Executives Elections will determine the leadership that will steer the party's activities in the constituency ahead of the 2028 general elections. Her slogan is "Together we stand, service with integrity, development for all, accountability."
