Bawumia’s Reaction Signals Frustration Amid Political Climate, Says NPP’s Daaku

Accra: A member of the communications team of the New Patriotic Party, Ellen Ama Daaku, has expressed her views on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's recent response to political attacks, suggesting that his reaction indicates a level of frustration. Dr. Bawumia, known for his calm demeanor, has reportedly faced years of personal criticism without resorting to aggressive retorts.

According to Ghana Web, Daaku shared her insights during a panel discussion on GTV's Breakfast Show, highlighting that the NPP flagbearer has maintained a tolerant attitude despite ongoing criticisms aimed at him and his family. She noted that Dr. Bawumia is recognized for his pleasant nature and typically refrains from responding to insults.

The discussion was prompted by a recent statement from Dr. Bawumia accusing the National Democratic Congress administration of harassment and intimidation against NPP members. Daaku pointed out that Bawumia's wife, Samira Bawumia, has also been a target of attacks, particularly concerning her appearance and public image, with some criticisms originating from female NDC members.

Daaku further commented that Dr. Bawumia's recent statements reflect his growing concern with the current political climate, indicating that his patience may be wearing thin. "For him to come out with this sort of statement should tell you that the man is tired," she concluded.
