Gunn highlighted that while doctors have been criticized in the investigative reports, the contribution of the ambulance driver who promptly responded to the emergency should not be overlooked.
According to Ghana Web, Gunn expressed concern that the names of the ambulance driver and crew remain unknown, reflecting a broader issue of recognizing those who deserve praise. In an interview with JoyNews, he remarked, "Those who need to be applauded, we hide them and throw people out there to get chastised." He urged for a balanced discussion that includes commendation for the efficient response, which he noted, is often uncommon.
Gunn pointed out that the ambulance arrived within an impressive three minutes, a feat that underscores the readiness and dedication of emergency services. He cautioned that public discourse tends to become skewed when it focuses only on assigning blame, neglecting to honor actions that warrant appreciation. Gunn concluded by saying, "Ambulances would also feel that their work has been appreciated by us," advocating for a more appreciative approach toward emergency responders.
