‘We Are Born to Win’ – Port City Coach Abdallah Brimah Brags

Accra: Head coach of newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Port City, Abdallah Brimah, has expressed confidence in his team's readiness for top-flight football, insisting their focus is firmly on competing at the highest level rather than battling relegation.

According to Ghana Web, Brimah revealed in an interview with Citi Sports that the club remains committed to using their preferred home venue, stating that there has been no official directive from the Football Association preventing them from doing so. "We have not had any information from the FA that we can't use that field, so in our minds, we will continue to use it as our home ground," he said.

Beyond logistical matters, the Port City coach emphasised a winning mentality as the cornerstone of his team's approach heading into the new season. Consistency in results will be key to achieving their ambitions, as Brimah noted, "Anytime we travel or play at home, our mindset is to win. The more you win, the more points you gather, and that increases your chances of winning the league."

Despite being newcomers to the top tier, Brimah made it clear that survival is not the club's primary concern. Instead, he believes his side is capable of making a significant impact, drawing confidence from their performances in the Division One. "Our objective is to perform better, and if the chance comes, we will grab it. We are not coming to add to the numbers, we are coming to show Ghanaians that there is a team called Port City," he stated.

He firmly dismissed any talk of relegation, reinforcing his belief in the team's potential. "We are born to win. For relegation, not at all. When the season starts, people will see the performance of Port City," Brimah assured.
