Verona: Hellas Verona striker, Gift Orban, was involved in a heated confrontation with a fan after his car was reportedly damaged following his side's defeat to AC Milan on Sunday, April 19, 2026. The incident unfolded in the parking area outside the Bentegodi Stadium shortly after the final whistle.
According to Ghana Web, a supporter approached Orban to request a photo, but the forward declined and attempted to drive away. The situation escalated when the fan reacted angrily, striking Orban's car. In response, Orban stopped, stepped out of his vehicle, and confronted the supporter, with footage circulating online appearing to show the Nigerian forward engaging in a physical altercation.
The tense exchange drew attention from nearby individuals before a member of Verona's staff intervened and urged Orban back into his car, bringing the situation under control. The incident came at the end of another difficult outing for Verona, who fell to a 1-0 defeat, with Adrien Rabiot's first-half strike proving decisive. That result added to the club's struggles in Serie A, where they have endured a poor run of form in recent months.
Following the video's circulation, Verona released an official statement distancing itself from the events. 'Hellas Verona FC, with reference to the incidents that took place after the Hellas Verona v Milan match in the parking area adjacent to the Bentegodi Stadium, involving player Gift Orban and a group of supporters, firmly dissociates itself from and condemns any form of violent conduct,' the statement read.
