Ishmael Yamson & Associates Launches Executive Series on Applied AI for Business Leaders

Accra: Ishmael Yamson and Associates (IY and A) has launched the Executive 'Lunch and Learn' Series, entitled 'Applied AI Advantage,' in Accra, aimed at enabling boards and senior executives to translate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into practical, governance-ready business decisions.

According to Ghana News Agency, the weekly leadership forum is crafted to assist organizations in converting the growing interest in AI into structured and actionable strategies. A statement released by IY and A highlights that the initiative addresses a significant global challenge where AI is rapidly transforming productivity, decision-making, and operating models, yet many leadership teams lack clear pathways to deploy it effectively.

The series aims to bridge this gap by reframing AI from a purely technological concept into a strategic leadership and institutional transformation agenda. Each session will convene board members, chief executives, senior functional leaders, and risk professionals for focused executive briefings. These discussions will explore high-impact AI use cases, governance requirements, and operational implications across sectors such as financial services, consumer industries, energy, healthcare, government, and technology.

Participants are expected to leave each session with a structured AI 'Decision Packet' outlining priority use cases, data requirements, governance controls, operational implications, and pilot implementation pathways. Mr. Richard Osei-Anim, Senior Partner and Chief AI Officer at IY and A, emphasized that the rapid pace of AI development has shifted expectations for leadership decision-making.

"The conversation around AI is moving rapidly from curiosity to responsibility. Boards and executive teams are being asked to make decisions about AI adoption that affect productivity, competitiveness, and institutional risk," he stated. He further noted that the series is designed to provide leaders with practical frameworks to move from interest to informed action.

The program is structured into six sessions focusing on key domains where AI is reshaping organizational performance. These include AI portfolio prioritization and board-level governance, commercial acceleration through intelligent pricing, operating model automation, supply-chain resilience, risk and compliance systems, and AI-enabled product innovation. The series will culminate in a capstone session to convert selected opportunities into a 30-day pilot mobilization blueprint, enabling institutions to transition quickly from strategy discussions to controlled implementation.

Sessions will be delivered primarily in person, with a livestream option available for regional participants. Participation is by invitation, with limited capacity to maintain a high-level executive engagement environment. This initiative is part of IY and A's broader mission to strengthen resilient institutions through leadership, strategy, culture, and people's development in the era of AI-driven transformation.

The first session of the Applied AI Advantage Executive Lunch and Learn Series is scheduled to begin next week. The program will run on April 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, and 30, continuing on May 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, and 21 at ALX Ghana. Corporate leaders, public sector decision-makers, and institutional partners are encouraged to participate in the series.
