Accra: The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has conducted a series of raids on fuel depots and Bulk Distribution Companies (BDCs) as part of investigations into suspected petroleum-related offences. In an X post on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the OSP identified the companies as Platon Oil and Gas Ltd, Sentuo Oil, Akwaaba Oil, Sahara Oil and Gas Ltd, and Chase Petroleum Ghana Ltd.
According to Ghana Web, the OSP has begun a comprehensive probe into allegations of corruption, focusing on under-declaration of petroleum imports, falsification of product types during depot transfers, and tax evasion. The OSP's operation involved high-profile raids, during which documents were seized and several individuals were detained to aid in the ongoing investigations.
