Kinshasa: Players of the DR Congo national football team have made a heartfelt appeal to the country's leadership ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup, requesting special recognition for one of their own, Lumumba. Speaking through their captain, Chancel Mbemba, the team formally called on the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to ensure Lumumba is present at the tournament, even if it means including him in the official delegation and providing full logistical support for his journey.

The presence of Michel Kuka Muladinga, also known as Lumumba Vea, is seen by Chancel Mbemba as essential to lift the morale of the DRC players.
