Anloga: The Alumni, in partnership with the Students Representative Council (SRC) of KAAF University, held its inaugural homecoming at the university premises in Gomoa Fetteh Kakraba, Central Region. The event, under the auspices of the Registrar, aimed to gather former students, elect new executives, unveil the association, and strengthen ties with the university management to enhance the institution's impact.
According to Ghana News Agency, the homecoming was attended by numerous alumni from across the country, as well as members of the university management, SRC executives, and current students. Dr. Francis Acheampong, Vice-Chancellor of KAAF University, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of networking, sharing experiences post-graduation, and encouraging students to focus on their studies.
Mrs. Ekua Emoada, Maintenance Engineer at the Ghana Highway Authority and the guest speaker, praised the organizers' efforts to bring alumni back to campus. She stressed the significance of supporting the university's management to make KAAF one of Ghana's leading tertiary institutions. Mrs. Emoada highlighted the need for alumni to contribute resources to create a conducive learning environment and urged students to pursue courses in Mathematics, Science, Physics, and Chemistry to become professionals contributing to national development.
Dr. Linda Anane Donkor, the university's Registrar, noted significant changes at KAAF over recent years and encouraged alumni to continue branding the university positively. She emphasized the institution's focus on entrepreneurial development and its pioneering role as the first private university to offer an engineering program. Dr. Donkor also highlighted the importance of communication skills, personal presentation, and public demeanor as part of the university's curriculum, urging students to excel in their studies.
