Hwidiem: The Asutifi South District Assembly in the Ahafo Region has distributed working items valued at GHS96,000 to a group of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in the district. The presentation took place at a ceremony in Hwidiem, the district capital.
According to Ghana News Agency, a total of 23 PwDs benefited from the initiative, receiving items that included refrigerators and various tools necessary for carpentry and mobile phone repairs. These items were procured through the district's disability fund, with additional support from Alhaji Collins Dauda, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area.
During the ceremony, Mr. Benjamin Asabre Donkor, the Asutifi South District Chief Executive, highlighted the support provided by the MP and expressed appreciation for the government's efforts in advancing the district's infrastructure. He encouraged the recipients to utilize the items effectively to enhance their socioeconomic status.
Some beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to both the MP and the government and committed to making the most of the resources provided.
