Dzindziso Schools Reopen After Faeces Incident Prompts Temporary Closure

Kadjebi: Dzindziso D/A Junior High School (JHS) and Dzindziso E.P JHS have resumed academic activities after being temporarily closed due to an incident involving faeces and cola nuts smeared at the entrances and inside classrooms. This act, believed to have spiritual implications, had led to the suspension of classes at both schools. According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Killian Ahiadorme, Headmaster of Dzindziso D/A JHS, and Mr. Cephas Agbomson, Headmaster of Dzindziso E.P JHS, shared these updates while speaking at Kadjebi in the Oti Region. They revealed that although classes have officially restarted, there is still apprehension among teachers and students about potential spiritual repercussions. Mr. Ahiadorme mentioned that Dzindziso D/A JHS, with its 87 learners and six teachers, has resumed teaching and learning. However, he emphasized the need for the village elders, school authorities, Parent-Teacher Association, and School Management Committee to perform necessary rites to ensure a safe learning en vironment. Mr. Agbomson, representing Dzindziso E.P JHS, stated that the school has reopened in line with directives from the Ghana Education Service, but regular academic activities are yet to fully commence. The school, which accommodates approximately 400 learners from Kindergarten to JHS Three with 15 teaching staff, plans to conduct the first-term examination in the third week of the term. This adjustment comes after the previous closure disrupted the exam schedule. Both headmasters have appealed to community stakeholders to perform appropriate rites to restore confidence and facilitate an uninterrupted educational process. Ghana News Agency previously reported the closure of both schools in December 2025 due to the faeces and cola nuts incident.
