Accra: Mr Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, the Chief Justice, has informed President John Dramani Mahama that there has been no prima facie case found in the petition calling for the removal of Mr Justice Emmanuel Yonny Kulendi from his position as Justice of the Supreme Court.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in-charge of Government Communications, stated that the President, following the advice of the Chief Justice, had communicated the findings to the petitioner, Mr Daniel Marfo Ofori-Atta.
Mr Ofosu remarked that upon receiving the petition, the President forwarded it to the Chief Justice to ascertain whether a prima facie case existed, in alignment with Article 146 of the Constitution.
He further noted that the Chief Justice had written to the President, confirming that the petition did not reveal a prima facie case.
