Nkawie: Ms. Shirley Kyei, Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South in the Ashanti region, emphasized the importance of hard work, honesty, and dedication as essential tools for the successful implementation of the 'Nkoko Nketenteke' project. She highlighted that these attributes are crucial for ensuring the project meets its intended goals.
According to Ghana News Agency, Ms. Kyei shared her insights during an interview at the 41st farmers' day celebration in Bankyease, a farming community near Nkawie. She asserted that the project's success hinges on the honesty, discipline, resilience, and hard work of those responsible for its execution. Without these qualities, the initiative might not achieve the desired outcomes.
Ms. Kyei stressed that successful policies require the full participation and commitment of all stakeholders to prevent failure or disappointment. She highlighted potential challenges such as the diversion of materials for personal gain, misuse of resources, and lack of commitment as obstacles that could impede the success of new policies.
The MP urged her constituents, who are set to receive 10,000 chicks under the project, to work diligently to make the initiative profitable and improve their socio-economic conditions. She also called on facilitators to closely monitor the project to prevent issues like theft, mismanagement, and misuse or diversion of materials.
Ms. Kyei reiterated her commitment to poverty reduction and improving the livelihoods of her constituents. She pledged to support policies aimed at enhancing people's welfare, regardless of political affiliation or other differing interests.
