UMaT Awards Honorary Doctorate to JUSTMOH Construction CEO

Tarkwa: The University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa, has conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree on Dr. Justice Amoh, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JUSTMOH Construction Limited, for his contributions to national development.

According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Amoh, speaking in an interview after receiving the award at UMaT's 17th Congregation, highlighted discipline as a crucial factor in achieving success. He stressed that hard work and dedication are essential for reaching personal goals, regardless of one's circumstances. Dr. Amoh expressed gratitude to the university for the recognition and affirmed that the JUSTMOH group would remain motivated and focused despite challenges.

Dr. Amoh remarked, "This award from UMaT has opened my mind and eyes that people are watching whatever you are doing in this world, and so we must always be mindful of public perception as people are always watching." He added that the award would inspire him to continue contributing to the industry.

Dr. Theophilus Andoh-Robertson, the Registrar of UMaT, in a citation, acknowledged Dr. Amoh as an industrial leader and philanthropist who has significantly strengthened the economy's key sectors, including construction, real estate, extractive industries, petroleum, and hospitality. He highlighted Dr. Amoh's leadership in enterprises like JUSTMOH Construction Limited and Atlantic Concrete Products, which have driven critical infrastructure growth, including roads, commercial facilities, industrial plants, healthcare facilities, and resources for national security agencies, as well as donations to special education schools.

Professor Richard Amankwah, the Vice Chancellor of UMaT, recognized Dr. Amoh's contributions to developing and building a drainage system and a 1.5km asphalt road for the School of Railway and Infrastructure Development (SRID) campus at Essikado.
