Concerned Youth of Assin Darmang Support Adankwaman SHS

Assin darmang: The 'Concerned Youth of Assin Darmang (CYOAD),' a group in the Assin South District of the Central Region, has donated relief items to Adankwaman SHS (ADANSEC) to support the administration of the school. The items included 30 pieces of iron rods, 30 bags of cement, and two trips of sand and chippings, which are intended to help rebuild some of the school structures that collapsed after a rainstorm.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Frank Gyamfi, a member of the group, stated that they were moved by the plight of the school, which had some of its structures destroyed after a heavy downpour. Mr. Gyamfi appealed to old students, philanthropists, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to donate generously to help rebuild the structures, allowing teaching and learning to resume.

Mr. Stephen Mutah, the Assistant Headmaster in charge of Academics, received the items and expressed gratitude to the group, stating that the support had come at a crucial time. He pledged to ensure that the items were used for their intended purpose to enable students to continue with their academic work.

On October 07, 2025, a devastating storm hit ADANSEC, resulting in the roofs of a six-unit classroom block, the boy's dormitories, and other structures being ripped off. Desks, teaching materials, and other resources were also destroyed during the downpour.
