Accra: President John Dramani Mahama has accepted the decision of Mrs Elsie Addo Awadzi, Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), to take early retirement from the Bank with effect from 28th February 2025. According to Ghana News Agency, a statement was issued by Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in-charge of Government Communications, confirming the acceptance of Mrs Awadzi's early retirement. The statement expressed the President's gratitude for her service to the Bank and the Republic, and extended his best wishes for her future endeavors.
