Drobo: Madam Justina Owusu-Banahene, the Bono Regional Minister, has called on New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters in the Jaman South Constituency to intensify their efforts to regain the parliamentary seat for the party in the upcoming 2024 elections. She emphasized that the development initiatives implemented by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's administration should serve as a motivating factor for reclaiming the seat. According to Ghana News Agency, during a visit to Drobo as part of her election campaign activities, Madam Owusu-Banahene highlighted Jaman South as a stronghold for the NPP. She urged party members to work diligently to ensure the constituency returns to NPP control. Colonel Kwadwo Damoah, a former Commissioner at the Custom Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, is contesting the parliamentary elections under the NPP banner. Madam Owusu-Banahene expressed confidence that voters in Jaman South would support Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP's flagbearer for the 2024 elections, in the December 7 polls. She pointed out that Col Damoah's strong alliance with the Vice President positions him as a candidate who can further the constituency's development. The Regional Minister commended Col Damoah for his steadfast commitment to the party and his efforts in empowering the youth in the area. She urged party supporters to rally behind him, stating, "The Jaman parliamentary seat is our traditional property, and we must all support Col Damoah to take back the seat to the NPP."
