Canchungo: The 20th Chinese medical team in Guinea-Bissau on Sunday provided free consultations at Canchungo Regional Hospital, located 72 km north of Bissau, the capital of Guinea-Bissau. The consultations, which covered specialities such as general consultations, internal medicine, orthopaedics, surgery, gynaecology, and dermatology, benefited around 220 people. According to Ghana News Agency, Estevao Malu, the director general of Canchungo Regional Hospital, expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for its ongoing support in developing Guinea-Bissau's health sector. He praised the Chinese medical team for their humanitarian efforts, highlighting an initiative to dedicate one month to promoting traditional Chinese medicine alongside the free consultations provided to the community. The Chinese medical team, hailing from China's North Sichuan Medical College, also distributed free medicines to hospital patients, military barracks, and veterans.
