Fake Video Claims Meeting Between Speaker Bagbin and President Akufo-Addo Over Vacant Seats

ACCRA: Parliament urged the public to disregard a fake video circulating on social media suggesting that Speaker Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin was invited by President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for a meeting regarding vacant seats. The video, deemed misleading, has been dismissed by parliamentary authorities. According to Ghana News Agency, a statement issued on Tuesday morning by Dr. Lawrence Kwarteng-Ashia, Deputy Director for Media Relations, clarified that no such meeting had taken place. The statement emphasized that the content of the video was entirely fabricated and urged the public to be cautious about the misinformation being spread.
