ACCRA: In a vibrant display of political activism, dozens of young supporters from the La-Dade-Kotopon constituency took to the streets of Labadi to rally support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), promoting the party's agenda and leadership as the national elections on December 7 draw near. According to Ghana News Agency, the youth, adorned in NDC-branded T-shirts, were seen engaging with drivers and pedestrians along the Accra-Tema beach road. They held placards and banners featuring Madam Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, the current Member of Parliament for the area, and shared key points from the NDC manifesto. The campaigners emphasized the need for former President Mahama's return to leadership, highlighting his potential to address Ghana's economic challenges and constituency-specific issues. One anonymous campaigner expressed strong opinions about the need for political change, criticizing the current administration for the economic difficulties experienced under its governance. "We the youth of La b elieve that we need a change to set Ghana free from the worse economic conditions the NPP government has brought to Ghanaians in the last eight years," he stated. This year's campaign strategies have notably shifted from large public rallies to more personal interactions, including door-to-door visits and workplace engagements, as part of a broader effort to secure votes through grassroots initiatives. As the election date approaches, the NDC youth are intensifying their efforts, using a combination of traditional and innovative campaign tactics to influence undecided voters.
