643 Special Voters Expected to Cast Ballots in Bantama Constituency.

BANTAMA: A total of 643 eligible voters who registered for the special voting exercise are expected to cast their votes at the Ebenezer Methodist Church polling centre in the Bantama constituency of the Ashanti Region. The special voting process, which is part of the preparations for the 2024 general elections, allows individuals who will be on duty on the main election day, such as security personnel, journalists, and election officials, to vote in advance.

According to Ghana News Agency, as of 0835 hours, 101 individuals had already cast their votes and left the polling centre without incident. The special voting exercise is being conducted throughout all constituencies in the country, except for the Eastern and Western regions, which are facing issues related to the printing of new ballot papers.

In the Bantama constituency, the December 07 elections will see two candidates vying for the parliamentary seat. Mr. Francis Asenso-Boakye is representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP), while Mr. Simeon Addai Da
paah is contesting on behalf of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Bantama is considered a stronghold of the NPP, but the NDC candidate has expressed determination to secure a victory in the upcoming elections.
