Death of 3-year-old boy: The law must deal with LilWin if he is guilty – Ola Michael

Media personality, Ola Michael has called on the Ghana Police Service to ensure that fairness prevails in its investigations about the accident involving actor, Kwadwo Nkansah, known as LilWin, that resulted in the death of three-year-old boy, Tawiah Ampomah.

The pundit urged Ghanaians to desist from passing judgment on the issue and wait for the police to conclude their investigations and present their findings.

He asserted that despite LilWin’s personality in the country as a renowned actor, the law must deal with him ruthlessly if he is found culpable of being at fault with the accident.

“Listening to the deceased’s father, he said his son was thrown to the front seat when the crash happened. We all know that if the child was not using a seat belt while sitting at the back, this would occur… I think we should be measured in our criticisms and exercise patience for the police to investigate the case and identify who caused it.

“However, if they find out that it’s LilWin’s fault, the law should deal wi
th him appropriately, there should not be any favoritism. Regardless of his personality. The same way the law should deal with the deceased boy’s father if he is found culpable,” he told MzGee during the United Showbiz programme aired on UTV.

LilWin’s car accident occurred on May 25, 2024.

The collision occurred in front of Grace Baptist Church in Amakom, Kumasi, where LilWin’s Benz and another vehicle crashed head-on, resulting in injuries to him and two others.

All injured parties, including LilWin, were taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Unit.

Despite his injuries, LilWin attended the premiere of his new movie, “A Country Called Ghana,” at the KNUST CCB Auditorium later that day.

Meanwhile, LilWin’s management has pledged support to the bereaved family following the child’s passing.
